How much can you earn? The second-price auction, explained
June 15, 2026 · By AdVibing
You keep half of the clearing price
When an ad shows in your slot, you earn 50% of the clearing price. The platform keeps the other half. Crucially, that is the clearing price — not the advertiser’s raw bid.
What “second-price” means
AdVibing runs a generalized second-price (GSP) auction. The highest bidder wins the slot but pays only just above the next-highest bid — the minimum needed to win. That keeps pricing fair and stable, and it is the number your 50% is calculated from.
Impressions vs clicks
- Impressions pay a small amount each time the slot clears.
- Clicks pay materially more — a developer choosing to follow a sponsor is worth far more than a view.
What moves your earnings
- How much you use your coding agent (more work-gated moments → more impressions)
- Advertiser demand for your audience (more bidders → higher clearing prices)
- Your click-through, within honest limits
Getting paid
Earnings accrue to your balance and mature to available after a short hold, then you can withdraw. Everything is itemized, so you can see exactly where each cent came from.
